Lee Welch (b. 1975, USA) lives and works in Dublin. His gestural, atmospheric paintings explore emotional depth through figures drawn from personal and cultural sources, rendered with an intimate, humanistic gaze.

He studied at the National College of Art and Design (BFA, 2009) and Piet Zwart Institute, Rotterdam (MFA, 2011). Welch has exhibited internationally, including at Dublin City Gallery The Hugh Lane, MUSAC León, and the Glucksman Gallery, and his work is held in major public and private collections.
