Grace McNerney (b. 2001) is a London–based painter who graduated from Chelsea College of Arts in 2023. Her work has been exhibited across London and beyond, and she has been shortlisted for the Hari Art Prize and longlisted for the Jackson’s Art Prize 2026.

Working primarily in oil, she creates portraits and landscapes shaped by nostalgic popular media, religious imagery, and vintage cinema, exploring themes of sex, religion, and mortality. Her process often draws on found, “low-brow” sources such as magazines and vinyl sleeves, building layered, collage-like compositions.

All Flesh Is Grass marks a rare series of works on paper, using charcoal to reinterpret imagery from Robbie William‘S Rock DJ music video. The series reflects on the fragility of human life and the spectacle of cultural consumption.
