Grace Mattingly (b.1991, Chicago) is a London-based artist whose work has been shown internationally in solo and group exhibitions.

Her paintings depict a bright, playful, and fantastical universe where feminine and androgynous figures, animals, and symbolic motifs, such as boots, snakes, and candles, coexist in arcadian landscapes. Saturated colors, energetic brushwork, and glowing, misty atmospheres create scenes that feel exuberant yet slightly dangerous, often structured around a dominant pastel tone.

Working mainly in large-scale oil on canvas, alongside smaller works on panel and paper, she explores a distinctly feminine visual language that is both inviting and provocative. Beneath their sweetness, the works engage themes of desire, gaze, and fantasy, carrying a raw, unapologetic sensuality rooted in the act of creation itself, informed by pop culture, mythology, and feminist reinterpretation.
