Domenico Ruccia (b. 1986, Italy) lives and works in Milan. His practice uses painting to explore time, blending real and fictional histories to question authenticity and generate new readings through quotation. This approach spans recent works, where time evokes an ancient dimension between the Middle Ages and Renaissance, and earlier series, as well as his collages and videos, where history is fragmented and reassembled.

After studying law, he fully dedicated himself to painting, attending the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in 2021. Recent solo exhibitions include Galleria Alessandro Albanese (Milan, 2026 upcoming) and Galleria Renata Fabbri (Milan, 2024). His work has been widely exhibited across Italian institutions and galleries, and he has received several recognitions, including the Rotary Prize (2025) and the 52° Sulmona Prize. He was also in residence at Viafarini in Milan in 2022.
