Camila Barvo is a Colombian artist based in London whose work explores femininity, identity, and cultural memory through textile and fibre sculpture.

Using handcraft techniques like braiding and knotting, she creates immersive, tactile works rooted in storytelling and personal memory. Her practice draws on Latin American heritage, with materials such as fique, jute, and coffee dyes acting as symbols of Colombia’s textile traditions. She is currently expanding her research through the use of local wool fibres in the UK. Barvo graduated from the RCA in 2024 with a Master in Textiles.
